Electric wire rope hoists are available in models such as CD1, MD, and HC. These hoist motors, drum units, and reducers are arranged in series. They feature round or square designs and offer vertical lifting and travel capabilities. They are available in single or dual-speed configurations. The dual-speed model incorporates a slow-speed drive unit consisting of a slow-speed motor and reducer, with a 10:1 speed ratio to the fast-speed unit. When the fast-speed motor is operating, the slow-speed drive unit remains stationary, allowing the hoist to rise and fall rapidly. When the slow-speed motor is operating, the slow-speed drive unit drives the conical rotor of the main hoist motor, causing the hoist to rise and fall slowly.
